Privacy policy

Last updated 3 November 2026

BlackIce Trading Ltd (“BlackIce”, “we”, “us”) runs UK Cop Humour, UK Paramedic Humour and UK Firefighter Humour. This policy explains what personal information we handle when you use this website or send us an enquiry, and what rights you have. We are the controller for that information under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

What we collect

Enquiries. When you use the advertising and social media enquiry form, we receive your name, email address, your business or organisation if you give it, and your message.

Basic technical data. Our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to run and secure the site.

We don’t use analytics, advertising trackers or newsletter sign-ups on this site, and we don’t sell personal information.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry and, if we go ahead, to arrange the advertising or social media work. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract, and then performing that contract.

To keep the site running and secure. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a safe website.

To meet legal duties, such as keeping business and tax records.

Who sees it

Lead Your Own Narrative Social, our agency partner, handles advertising and social media enquiries for our brands, so it receives the enquiries you send through the form.

Our web host and email delivery provider process enquiry form submissions on our behalf to deliver them to the team, and the web host keeps server logs.

Google Fonts serves the typefaces. Your browser requests them from Google, which receives your IP address.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK law.

Frontline 999 sign-ups

Registering your interest in Frontline 999 happens on the Frontline 999 website, under its own privacy policy. Sending an enquiry on this site doesn’t sign you up to Frontline 999 updates.

Other sites we link to

Our brands’ social media accounts and the published donation updates are on other sites, which have their own privacy policies.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry or any work that follows, plus any period the law requires us to keep business records. Then we delete them.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. Contact us through the enquiry form and we’ll respond within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We’d appreciate the chance to sort it out first.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
